Mercury Transit on May 9th, 2016
At Trier, the 2016 Mercury transit could not be observed under optimal conditions. Clouds kept hiding the sun. The images were taken in the afternoon when the weather had cleared again for one or two hours. Despite the moderate seeing conditions, Mercury was sharply defined in front of the sun.
