Aureole Effect on a Quickly Flowing Creek
Very distinct aureole effect on a quickly flowing creek. In contrast to the opposition effect, a high Sun is favourable for observing the aureole effect. If solar elevation is too low, the light is mostly reflected and the aureole effect becomes invisible. Canon Powershot G2 digital camera. Unprocessed image. Note that the aureole is centered on the camera’s shadow rather than around the shadow of the photographer’s head!
