Glories
Look towards the antisolar point while standing before a sunlit fog bank, you will see colourful rings around your shadow. This is a glory.
Look out for a glory when airborne - the glory will be centered on the aeroplane’s or balloon’s shadow.
Glories often occur together with a fogbow. They must not be confused with coronae around bright light sources in the opposite direction.
The light of glories is polarized since reflection is involved.
