Snowflakes on February 14th, 2010 II
With temperatures only just below the freezing point, large numbers of snowflakes with long dendrites could be sampled on the evening of February 14th, 2010. Practically no column crystals could be found in the samples, which means that the snowflakes formed under relatively warm conditions. Photographed through a microscope with a Leica D-Lux 4 digital camera. Processed with Adobe Photoshop Elements.
