Rainbow on June 14th, 2008

The light of rainbows is strongly polarized. If a polarizing filter is used, turning the filter can make the rainbow disappear almost totally. The images above show this effect nicely. A yellowish hue shows the rainbow disk. Nikon D80, processed with Adobe Photoshop Elements.
