Partial Solar Eclipse on March 20th, 2015
From the Erbeskopf (840 m), the solar eclipse could be seen under clear skies right from the first contact, while the sun was hidden by clouds or could only seen through cloud gaps during the first half of the event in lower regions. Only a few meters below the highest point thick fog would have spoilt the experience.
Canon EOS 6D, solar filter, Nikon ED 70-300 mm lens, 1/800 sec at 200 ISO.
