Mountain Ridge Shadows on February 16th, 2010
Mountain ridges sometimes produce sharp shadow boundaries, when the sun is low in the sky and the air is filled with scattering particles like water droplets and smoke particles. In this case the shadow zone is distinctly bluish, due to the scattering of the blue sky, while the directly sunlit air has a yellowish hue. Panasonic Lumix GH1.
