Birch Pollen on April 13th, 2010
Fresh or rehydrated birch pollens are almost spherical while dry grains show many indentations.
The photographs show pollens picked directly from the tree. Some of them were hydrated afterwards.
Large amounts of airborne birch pollens can produce colourful coronae around the sun and the moon.
