Sunrise on April 17th, 2010
The sunrise of April 17th showed the same subdued colours of the evening before - a brownish or yellowish hue, nevertheless typical for the Eyjafjallajokull aerosols. Note the fine cloud layer covering the sky. Later on, with a higher sun elevation, a textbook Bishop's ring could be observed.
